Schools are opening for another lot on Monday but there is just a lot everyone should know. The president gave a go head to semi candidate classes plus university students to start school on 1st March.
Candidates have been going to school already and probably by now it’s normal for them. Actually, on Monday the Senior four candidates will start their UNEB explanations.
Nonetheless, this new lot coming in needs some bit of counselling especially the students. By now the semi candidates would have been candidates, unfortunately, it’s not so. They should know that it is not their fault and in no way should they feel guilty about it.
Young people are affected so easily and they need all the help they can get. Probably the first week of school, teachers should engage with students personally.
Most of the students have engaged in sexual activities during the lockdown. Much as they may not be pregnant, something in them has surely changed and if not addressed it could get ugly. Schools should do pregnancy tests on their students to know what they are dealing with.
Coronavirus affected all of us, so schools should be considerate while making new fees structure. Most parents are just recovering from the Coronavirus effect, they may not be able to meet the expenses at once.
Teachers should not think of piling a lot of work to cover up lost time otherwise they won’t be studying at all.
Nevertheless, life has got to move on and we have to move past this. So, students, teachers, parents and school owners should coexist in this blurry moment of life.
