In Africa, churches of born-agains led by self-proclaimed pastors, prophets, bishops and many others increase day by day.
However, these churches are not only meant to help people. They are more of business than prayers. When these pastors are praying, they are often asking for money from their followers, convincing them to pay tithes and also help in building churches to please God.
Many people end up getting caught in this preaching and they even get addicted to church. They attend all the time, some sell off their property to build churches and pay tithes.
On top of paying tithes, these born-again churches have more than one service in a week. People are always there praying from morning to evening.
Sheilah Gashumba, therefore, wonders how and when these people make money yet they are always in church.
Through her Twitter, she said she doesn’t know if pastors teach their followers on how to make money or even work harder.
The outspoken socialite said being in church during weekdays from Monday to Friday is insane. Some people start crying because they are broke yet they had a chance to work but didn’t use it.
“So people are in church during the week from 2pm to 6pm? Monday to Friday!! What time do these people work?? Do pastors preach or motivate their attendees to go to work? This is unbelievable 🤦♀️,” Sheilah Gashumba tweeted.
