Singer Haruna Mubiru Involved In Fist-fight After Failing To Show For Shows

Veteran singer Hajji Haruna Mubiru almost got into a fistfight with a promoter known as Matsiko. This was after the promoter accused the Kifansalira singer of defrauding him his money.

Promoter Matsiko says that he paid Haruna twice and the singer didn’t turn up for the shows.

According to the promoter, he paid the Kream production boss on the first occasion and he absconded. This same promoter paid the singer the second time and he still didn’t show up.

However, sources close to Haruna say that he was sick and that is why he didn’t turn up for the shows.

The promoter however wondered why the singer didn’t call him and inform him. He went ahead to add that he lost a lot of things because of the singer’s absence.

“I respect Hajji Haruna because of his age but he’s a thief. Imagine I paid him on two occasions to come and perform at my shows and he didn’t. I heard him on the radio at one time saying that he doesn’t know about my show in Mubende yet I had paid him. Does he know how much money and property I lost because of him failing to turn up. He did this at first and I invited Kazibwe Kapo who mediated between us. I wonder how he fasts with this kind of thuggery,” the promoter said.

As all this was going on, one of Haruna Mubiru’s people tried to beat the promoter with a mingling stick.

Onlookers restrained and calmed him down. He added that these were mediated by another singer Mesach Ssenakula.

Absconding from shows by singers after getting paid has become quite a common phenomenon.
