Singer Judith Babirye On What She Regrets Most In Her Life

Gospel singer and former member of parliament now based in Canada Judith Babirye has revealed what she regrets most in her life as an artist. She is among the few artists who was loved so much by Ugandans and before she joined politics she was making a good amount of money through her music.

Life changed for the singer when she joined politics. She started getting issues within her family like being accused of stealing a husband.

According to her, she lost so much when she joined politics. She had made friends from different political parties. However, after she became a member of parliament, they started seeing her differently.

The gospel singer also said that when she joined politics, she didn’t know what exactly she was doing. The talented singer revealed that looking back, it is when she realized that she created a distinction between her and her friends because of politics.

“I regret the fact that I joined politics because I didn’t know what I was joining. Looking back it created a distinction between me and my friends in other parties and honestly I am not a politician.” she said.

It should be noted that Judith Babirye served one term as a member of parliament. She didn’t contest again and she doesn’t have plans of ever rejoining politics again.

The singer has permanently resettled in Canada and doesn’t seem to have plans of returning to Uganda.
