The singer announced the news on his Facebook page as he thanked his wife’s family for accepting him.
“A big thanks to the late Frank Baganizi’s family for having me as their son and all those who helped me to make it possible,” the Fire Base Crew vice president said.
Nubian Li meanwhile was in the company of some big names who had escorted him.
These included his best friend and Firebase leader Bobi Wine, NUP spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi among others.
The singer has spent a couple of years with his fiance and together they share three adorable kids. His wife who a few months ago converted to Islam dropping her name Shiko for Salha even got a tattoo of him inked on her back.
Salha did this at the trying time when her man was incarcerated at Kitalya prison. This was during the heightened political pressure back in January and the singer spent close to 7 months behind bars.
Salha said that having Nubian’s tattoo was a reaffirmation of her love for him. Nubian Li’s political work apparently also inspired her join the struggle too.
This saw her subsequently win the Kyanja LC3 parish seat with a landslide victory.
After that, she was further sworn in as the deputy speaker of Nakawa division. Speaking about her conversion to Islam, she said it was the only step to legalizing their relationship.
It’s good to see that the singer didn’t disappoint her and indeed legalized their relationship.
