The socialite dominated news for the past days after he damaged a road users vehicle. Besides threatening to shoot the victim and being in the wrong road lane, Sipapa drove his car away without compensating.
The victim took the matter to Police. However, their response attracted anger from different social media users including prominent journalists.
AIGP Asan Kasingye was one of those who picked interest in the matter. Consequently Sipapa had his car impounded and some people thought that he would face punishment besides compensation.
However, credible sources have it that a one Bishop Andrew met the victim at Kiira Road Police Station. He then paid for the damages saying that he’s Sipapa’s friend but the socialite currently has no money.
“Sipapa is my friend. He doesn’t have money right now, so I decided to step in for him. He has helped me several times so I am also helping him,” Andrew said.
The victim identified as Ben Jasst withdrew the charges and let Sipapa off the hook. However, he didn’t reveal how much he was paid to withdraw the charges.
Sipapa has always found his way despite the numerous charges pressed against him. He has close ties with the ruling NRM regime and has numerous armed body guards around him.
Many believe they are SFC guards. These walk around with him possessing guns and he also has one. They move in gangs wreaking havoc on road users.
