Ssegirinya; I Would Rather Walk Naked When My People Are Fine

Kawempe North Mp Muhammad Ssegirinya has continued to show how committed he is to serving his people. The legislator affirmed his commitment by saying he would rather live a non-luxurious lifestyle than see his people in anguish.

Ever since Ssegirinya assumed his parliamentary seat, he’s been working tooth and nail to serve his people. He’s currently building Kawempe North Hospital which he said will be the best in the region.

Ssegirinya has on several occasions delivered expensive machines that they will use in the hospital and many people have been mesmerized with his work.

Ssegirinya added that being charitable is something that comes from the heart and not force.

He went ahead to say that he can’t afford to see his people suffer while he cruises expensive cars and wearing designer clothes.

“Being charitable is something from the heart and nothing to do with wealth. You can be rich but uncharitable. I have been doing constituency works even before I became an MP. I started saving while I was still earning Ugx 3 million as lord councilor. So, when my bank account increased to Ugx 30 million for the MPS I decided to help my people. It doesn’t add any value to me cruising expensive cars and wearing designer clothes when people are suffering.” Ssegirinya said.

The MP has basically set the bar high for other leaders in different parts of the country. He’s become the scale of measuring other leader’s performances.

He’s been availing food relief to the people in his constituency. He has also availed capital to some vulnerable groups to start up and boost their businesses.

The aim is uplifting them from poverty levels to more sustainable livelihoods. Ssegirinya also provided ambulances fully equipped with oxygen cylinders to help in the fight against COVID 19.

He recently revealed plans of constructing Kawempe North Technical Institute to help equip people with hands-on skills.
