Ssenyonyi Says He is Going To use His Degree In Law To Fight Injustices In Uganda

NUP spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi has said he is going to use his degree in law to fight injustices in Uganda. Joel Senyonyi is celebrating in double after graduating and also swearing in yesterday. He is now a full member of parliament with no doubt. Ssenyonyi was supposed to swear in on Thursday but due to official party duties, he requested to be part of the first group.

Joel Ssenyonyi confessed that it was indeed not easy to jungle between his school and work. He accorded this succes to God.

“I have become a lawyer after graduating from Makerere Law School. The 4 years were tough, having to juggle law school with many other aspects of my life, but God has been faithful.”

“Later in the day I was sworn-in as MP-Nakawa West. May God help me to use these two platforms to fight injustice,” he said.

This week is busy for the political and academic sectors. As the members of parliament are being sworn-in, Makerere is holding graduations for their students. Obviously, these events are far from the usual way of doing them. This is due to the pandemic that is still pressing on as countries figure out what to do.

Meanwhile, parliament is expected to finish this activity by Thursday if all goes as planned. Yesterday however, two of the MPs-elects didn’t show up for the event and it was without apology.
