The motormouthed activist posted on her social media saying her daughter won both a gold and silver medal yet she just joined the swimming club in her school. Nyanzi said she is a proud mother and will always push her children to do better in whatever they choose to do in life.
“I am one very proud mother! My little girl won both a gold and silver medal in the GISST 2023 Swimming. Her school’s age-category girls’ team also won a trophy. Go Lions!!! Thank you for giving Baraka a platform to swim again.
She joined her new school’s swimming team this academic term, after not swimming competitively for the past three years. And each week, she has worked hard on her technique and speed. This was her first tournament since resuming competitive swimming. While she lost her first race in the pool, got bronze in the second and was disqualified in the third for making a flip turn in the IM, she also persevered and won both silver and gold in her fourth and fifth races. She sent me her results immediately after each race – gradually progressing from crying with disappointment to elation at winning bronze, shock at getting disqualified and then jubilation at winning silver followed by bagging gold!” Stella Nyanzi posted.
