Stop Hating On Me, I’m The Ugandan Nicki Minaj – Kapa Cat

Singer Kapa Cat has come out to lash out at critics who hate on her for the way she dresses. The Sikyo singer likened herself to American female rapper Nicki Minaj.

According to Kapa Cat, she doesn’t understand why Ugandans can’t appreciate their own ‘goddesses.’ This is because they are quick to compliment and download nude photos of these foreign singers.

Yet when it comes to their own homegrown, they are trashed and criticized for skimpy dressing.

She added that her type of music which is dancehall requires her to dress the way she does.

Kapa Cat also added that she’s sorry to whoever is offended but she’s not changing any time soon. Besides she always dresses according to the audience she’s going to sing for.

“I want to understand why when artists outside Uganda dress in skimpy clothes, you love them and when we do, it it’s wrong. I don’t know why they term Ugandan artists obscene. My kind of music is dance hall and it comes with a certain type of branding.

I always dress according to the audience I am singing for. I am sorry for whoever is offended by my dressing code but I will insist that it doesn’t look bad for me because that’s the kind of music I do,” Kapa Cat explained through her social media handles.

This comes after her controversial dress code and performance at the recent Galaxy FM ZzinaFest concert. She was dressed in clothes that left nothing to imagination and fans had a nudity treat.

Her performance could be dubbed as a nudity festival. This is not the first type Kapa Cat is raising eyebrows in regards to nudity and her music.

Her social media handles could have her mistaken for an adult film performer.
