The singer made this statement during Kato Lubwama’s funeral at his home in Mutundwe.
Kato Lubwama was an entertainer and a politician at the same time. He was the Member of Parliament for Rubaga South 2016-2021. When he contested again, he was defeated and he returned to the entertainment industry to do what he knew best.
Ever since he left Parliament, he wasn’t so much involved in politics again. He focused more on acting as he left so many projects behind. After his death, so many people from both the political side and the entertainment industry have been showing up at his home.
Most of them are given a chance and an opportunity to speak about the life of the late Kato Lubwama. But Bebe Cool wasn’t happy with how some politicians have been talking at the funeral.
He said Kato Lubwama didn’t talk about politics so much and that’s why he doesn’t understand how someone shows up and starts politics.
According to Bebe Cool, it is not only at Kato Lubwama’s funeral, he has been seeing politicians take advantage of burials something that is not always okay.
“I am here because Kato Lubwama liked people so much and he loved the entertainment industry. But I am not happy with some people who are taking on the culture of politicizing burials. It is not okay, I think people should learn how to respect families of the deceased and let them grieve their people,” Bebe Cool said.
