FDC Betrayal And Crisis Is So Painful – Salaam Musumba

The Vice Chairperson of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Salaam Musumba has stated that the current FDC betrayal and crisis is so painful. This is because the party was built out of immense sacrifices.

She said that this party’s rise was on the back of broken bones and lost hopes.

It’s, therefore, a shame to see the trajectory the party and some of its affiliates have taken. She added that they ignored the earlier signs that showed the party was disintegrating.

“The FDC situation is very painful because this party is built on broken bones and lost opportunities. It is the most painful betrayal we have suffered. We truly missed the early warning signs.”

Additionally, the politician said that their objective is to move on and provide a political platform where our voices and aspirations can still be pursued.

She further said that Uganda will only progress when the people holding the reins of power become toothless. When they are compelled to watch the country progress without them then Uganda will finally move past monetization politics.

The former MP also shocked viewers when she said, “After my first term in Parliament, I went back for reelection, and I was on the hit list. I was only saved by the late Hon. Nobel Mayombo. He provided me with security cover.”
