He said Kenzo needs to know that government is not obligated to house any musicians at any point in life.
Ever since Eddy Kenzo became the leader of musicians, he has been trying so much to lobby for the arts industry. He has met different stakeholders in government and even President Museveni.
He said the conversations he has been having with different people will help the music industry. This is if they are put into action as promised.
Last week Eddy Kenzo made an interview saying the problems artists are facing include housing. He requested President Museveni to secure Serena Hotel for the art industry as their main home in whatever they are doing.
However, according to Dr. Hilderman, artists are facing more problems than just housing which is not going to help any individuals.
He also said the main problem in the art industry is the copyright law. He wishes Kenzo would stick to that so that artists are helped.
“I have watched an interview where one of the leaders is asking for housing from President Museveni. I want to let people e know that government is not obligated to house artists. Let’s solve the problem of the copyright,” he said.
