Speaking on a local TV station, he said that the movement has selected individuals who take the spotlight making others feel marginalized. Therefore, it needs to be reconstructed so that everyone feels appreciated.
“We need to reconstruct the People Power vessel, where everyone’s contribution is important and valued,” he said.
He went ahead to say that many leaders lack vision and consistency. They even don’t know what brings about disunity in an organization because they are poor at leadership.
Additionally, the former Lubaga MP aspirant said that this struggle deserves better. It also deserves better leadership and so do the forces of change.
“Many lack a clear vision, and what brings disunity is failed leadership. Our struggle deserves better, our revolution deserves better, and leadership for change forces deserves better.”
Apparently, Lubega Mukaaku is one of the vehement critics of NUP leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
He was one of those leaders who made the trek from DP to People Power but later fell out with the group. Since then, he has made it his responsibility to discredit the party and its hierarchy.
