The  troop will assist the planning, intergration and support Iraq security forces and tribal forces as they fight to retake the Ramidi and Fullujah corridor  and the advisers are to soften the sunni tribesmen in the area to encourage to join the fight of Islamist State group,” pentagon spokes man Colonel Steven Warren said”.

Already 31,00 U.S troops are in the Iraq including more than 200 advisers divided up to 12 teams, 450 trainers are deployed at four sites.

About 800 of the troops are focused on safe guarding the U.S embassy in Baghdad

Although all this is done, the army officers in Iraq have said that more troops is not what they totally need but they need more fighting weapons to fight against the IS and also to capture the second largest city Mosul in Iraq that is also under Islamist State.
