These doses of the vaccine are, however, separate from those allocated to the states.
Joe Biden’s coronavirus coordinator, Jeff Zients, cautioned that supply constraints will limit the early availability of shots in drug stores. He said the administration wanted to target supplies to pharmacies serving ‘’socially vulnerable communities.’’
In an effort by the government to distribute the vaccine around the country, some people have resorted to booking appointments online. The younger generation is actively helping parents and grandparents who are digital natives to book appointments.
However, navigating the various vaccine sites’ online systems can at times be tiring.
Some companies like Moderna have proposed filling vials with more doses of the vaccine. The proposed filling of up to 15 doses instead of the previous 10 doses. This will help deliver more vaccines at once in the fight against Covid-19.
Moderna President, Stephen Hoge, announced the request as the company approached the 1 million doses a day threshold. He said he would have further discussions with the Food and Drug Administration to ensure the agency’s comfort with this approach.
