Uganda Cranes Exit Chan 2018

Uganda cranes are out of the Chan competition 2018 after the cranes team lost to Nambia last night in morocco.

Ivory coast and Uganda did not make it to the quarter finals of Chan 2018.

Unlike in the first match where Uganda lost to Zambia 4-2 the coach sebastien made a few changes in his team

The starting XI of Uganda against Namibia included; Watenga, Wadada, Timothy Awanyi, Muwanga, Muleme, Mutyaba, Lwanga, Sadam Juma, Karisa, Nsibambi, Kyambadde.

Goal Keeper Watenga replaced his team mate and fellow goal keeper Benjamin Ochan who was Uganda goal keeper against Zambia

The Cranes team dominated the ball in both halves of the game had more shots on target especially in the second half than their opponents Namibia last night.

Timothy Awanyi was given a red card in 75th minute of the game which gave an advantage to Namibia to scoring the only goal in the game in the injury time

Cranes will play Ivory Coast in the last group game on Monday while Zambia will face off with Namibia to determine the winner of Group B.

Uganda’s last group match against Ivory Coast on Monday will only be a formality. With six points in the bag each, Zambia and Namibia are through to the quarter-final stage of the competition that features only home-based players.
