Uganda Police has revealed that they are still analyzing the recently released report by World Internal Security and Police Index (WISP), The International Science Association (IPSA) and the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) that ranked it among the worst five Forces in Africa and the world.

“The Uganda Force is studying the report and soon we will release a statement based on the four domains of capacity, process, legitimacy and outcomes that were based on to make the report,” spokesperson AIGP Asan Kasingye said at the Weekly police media briefing on Monday at Police headquarters in Kampala.
“We believe that we are one of the best Force in the region and Africa, if indeed researchers followed these domains. We have achieved a lot in terms of human capacity building of the institution through human resource and non human resource functions,” Kasingye added
AIGP Kasingye also revealead that the Uganda P Research ,Planning and Development Directorate will soon make its report that will be availed to the media.
The 2016 World Internal Security and Police Index ranked Botswana’s force as the best force in Africa followed by Rwanda and Algeria. Nigeria’s force was ranked the worst, just below Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Uganda to make up the bottom four.
