Ugandan Government To Suffocate The Entertainment Industry With New Rules

Ugandan Government under the Ministry of Gender, Labor and social Development (Government) to suffocate the entertainment business in Uganda.

While making clear clarifications, it’s said that all artistes are meant to get licenses in order to perform and sing in Uganda.

However, according to the Ugandan ministry, it was alleged that no more artistes will be allowed to perform in more than one venue the same day to eliminate traffic in the music industry.

It is also alleged that every musician will need to first get permission to shoot a music video following the set of rule implemented.

Below is the concern set up by the Ugandan Government.

  • We have had several organs handling the entertainment business for a long period of time and of what advantages have they been towards the development of artists in this nation?
  • We already have the law that governs this nation, what differ an artist from the WANHINCHI that today artists must have a different law to follow besides the constitution.

Therefore, we aren’t sure whether musicians agreed to these strict regulations.
