Ugandan legendary musicians have apparently come together to make an association of their own. The so-called Hit Makers Association is apparently for artists who have made it in the music industry.
According to them, they want to deal with people who have some good experience in the industry. People who have not only stayed for long in the industry but made an impact as well.
This is why they named it the Hit Makers Association.
So far, the people in the association are; Jose Chameleon, Weasel, Pallaso among others. These people consider themselves Ugandan legendary musicians in the music industry.
Apparently, they understand best the plight of other artists because they have been down that road. They are open to welcoming fellow hit makers in the music industry to see a way forward especially during this time of covid.
However, the association has already started creating wrangles with other artists. They attacked Mesach Ssemakula who apparently said he wasn’t informed. Mesach when called however, said he never said anything of the sort.
The association is just a day old and defaming has already started. This may not be a good sign, because these are usually the reasons why such associations fall.
No one knows the real motive behind the creation of this association. Some however, say they just want money from Museveni.
Usually these associations when well-organized receive some money from the president as investment. Many times though, this money has caused quarrels among artists.
Our question therefore is, how different will this association be?
