He said people want him out of leadership right now. Bobi Wine made these comments while in Mbale during his country tour.
The singer joined politics in 2017 as the member of Parliament for Kyadondo East constituency. He then later picked up interest in running for the presidential seat under his own political party National Unity Platform (NUP).
Unfortunately, he didn’t win in the 2021 general elections with complaints of vote rigging. According to him, he had won the elections with a very big percentage but because the government was corrupt, his votes were rigged.
Like any other president of a political party, Bobi Wine is allowed to move around the country. He is currently mobilizing his people and opening up offices in each district. As he is touring, his fans are showing him so much love as they come to see and meet him on the streets.
With the overwhelming number of people showing up, Bobi Wine believes that those are the votes he got during the elections.
He also said this number of people shows how they are fed up with the current president. They apparently want him out at the moment.
“The people of Mbale spoke loud and clear today. They are fed up with the Museveni regime, and they want it out NOW! #WeAreRemovingaDictator #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #NUPCountryWideTour,” he posted on social media.
