They will work on a total of 72km of road surface, with repairs starting with sections at Namanve and Kigunga.
Most of the project works are set to be done during night hours between 6 pm to 6 am according to UNRA.
This move is targeted towards limiting the impact the road works will have on the flow of traffic on Kampala-Jinja road since the country is under lockdown.
Allan Ssempebwa, the UNRA spokesperson said the road works will stretch from the junction to Katalima road at Spear. It will then stretch eastwards through Bweyogerere, Seeta, Mukono, Lugazi, and ends in Jinja.
Ssempebwa said they have started with Namanve as a critical area. He added that the roads body is working with the Traffic Police to manage traffic flow.
He further said at a later date, the public will be notified of alternative routes. Energoprojekt Niskograndnja is handling the project as the contractor.
