A study showed that 71% of those surveyed are willing to get vaccinated, up from late December’s 65%. Currently, about 10% — almost 33.8 million Americans – have received at least one dose of the two-part vaccines. And, about 10.5 million people have received the full dose of the vaccine.
However much the US and state leaders will rump up in the coming months, vaccine supply challenges still remain. Some of these include supply shortages and equal access. Public Health experts also said the country is in a race against time as Covid variants spread across the country.
Amidst all these challenges, arenas in different parts of the country are opening up. They, however, have a 10% capacity limit for venues with 10,000 0r more seats. All attendees will have to provide a negative PCR test.
To ensure the safety of all, they will also have to wear masks, observe social distancing and sit in assigned seats.
Authorities will open two mass vaccination centers in Queens and in Brooklyn according to an announcement from the White House Covid-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients.
