Kartel’s talent and music career was put on hold for 13 years when he was arrested on charges of murder. He tried to release some music while in prison but they didn’t go viral like the music he made while free.
Early this year, the singer was released from prison and all charges dropped. In the early days of his release, he recognized how Kenyans were excited for him. They were asking him to come and perform for them.
In a recent interview, Vybz Kartel said that he has always had a different connection with Kenyans compared to other African countries.
The suggestion indicated that he actually considers Kenyans highly. This is why he will be performing first for them in the world tour that will officially commence in 2025.
“I can’t wait to embark on my world tour that is going to happen next year 2025. I will have to go to my Kenyan people, they love me so much. And I can clearly say that I consider them as my own because their love is always pure,”
