Gashumba said this after Gen Muhoozi showed interest in succeeding his father President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Twitter.
Muhoozi made the tweets last year in 2022. In one of the tweets, he said he wants to become the president of Uganda because that’s one thing that will make his mother happy.
Besides the tweets, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba also created a committee of people known as the MK army. These are busy convincing people to vote for him when he contests.
Gashumba who has been portraying himself as the supporter of the opposition side is also among the MK army people. In an interview with STV, he straightened his point saying he is sure and positive that Gen Muhoozi is going to be the next president of Uganda.
According to Gashumba, before, Gen Muhoozi was always discussed as the son of President Museveni. However, now he is discussed as the Next President of Uganda and that’s a big deal for him.
“We are so sure Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba must be the next President Of Uganda. The whole of Uganda is no longer discussing Muhoozi Kainerugaba as a son of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni but now he is being discussed as the next President of Uganda. The next move is state house since we are capable of that,” Frank M. Gashumba said.
