We Believe His Soul Is In Heaven – Bobi Wine Speech At Lawyer Wameli’s Funeral

National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine has said believes that the soul of Anthony Wameli, their departed head of legal team is in heaven.

Wameli breathed his last on February 8th 2023 while in the USA where he has been taken for treatment.

For so many years, Anthony Wameli was struggling with stage 4 cancer. He hoped for a miracle and was always in and out of hospital. Unfortunately, he tried but didn’t succeed hence losing the battle last month.

Ever since he died, his family started struggling with money to bring his body back for a decent burial. For almost a whole month, they finally managed to transport the body.

The body was received by NUP officials and supporters at Entebbe airport. The body was laid to rest yesterday at his ancestral home in Namisindwa.

According to Bobi Wine, he knows that the soul of their lawyer is already in heaven. He also thanked mourners who showed up to pay their last respect to the late.

“After almost one full month since his death, today we we’re joined by thousands of people in Namisindwa to say farewell to our brother and friend, comrade Wameli Anthony Yeboah. I thank all Ugandans and friends of Uganda, who have joined us in the different activities leading up to this day. We believe that his soul is already in heaven. Till we meet again brother!,” Bobi Wine said.
