“NUP is a party that can be very brutal to those who go against it. We are anchored on people power and I don’t think any MP would want to taste the wild waters of the people of Uganda.”
Some of the members of the public didn’t like this at all. They quickly condemned this kind of mentality.
“How will u lead the nation if yo such brutal n abusive to people against u.
The best is to create a very conducive environment for all ideologies in people so u can tame them. Stop being abusive,” a one Wanduyi Emmanuel said.
“Doesn’t this define dictatorship?? Intolerance of other people’s ideas,” Kamolu Ivan.
Waiswa added saying NUP is not an individual-based party. He says they reach most of their values through a consensus. However, this is something most of the members of the public disagreed with.
To some, NUP revolves around Bobi Wine, and the moment he steps out, that will be it.
“I just find it so hard to believe such statements, if no consensus was held for the by-election sth done in broad daylight, how about that that happens in the dark,” a one Mungu Jakisa.
