According to him, there is so much to do in the country and political parties are only costing the country a lot.
“Uganda hasn’t reached a stage of having political parties. Let’s go back to the movement system before these political parties cost us a lot. We have political parties but don’t know how to run them.”
“We still have an issue that our opposition doesn’t bring alternatives,” Pentagon Kamusiime added.
Some people on social media agreed with him. They said opposition political leaders only concentrate on defying every good thing the government intends to do.
“I second Mr. Pentagon, we have opposition leaders who oppose whatever is good. They don’t have alternatives just to oppose whatever government brings,” a one Ngabirano Joseph said.
Ngabirano’s argument however was quickly rubbished because according to some of them, the opposition has never stood in the government’s way.
“Which government program has ever failed to be implemented becoz the Opposition resisted it? Does opposition fail government where it has no interests, how comes Opposition didn’t suceed in fighting against removal of Term Limit and age Limits?” a one Wilson Emmanuel said.
Meanwhile, this debate can go on and on but by now the country is probably past the stage of one party system regardless of the opposition political leaders available.
