Why Jajja Ichuli’s Death Was So Painful To Most Ugandans – Bajjo

Events promoter Bajjo real name Andrew Mukasa has revealed reasons why blogger Isma Olaxess aka Jajja Ichuli’s death was painful to most Ugandans. Jajja Ichuli was a famous social media blogger who used to talk about almost everything in Uganda.

He was shot dead near his home in Kyanja by unknown gunned men who were targeting him. His death was very abrupt for the fact that he wasn’t sick and he was interacting with people normally towards his death.

One of the people he used to speak to was Bajjo. The promoter also likes speaking about politics and other issues in the country.

Bajjo said he was shocked when he heard that Jajja Ichuli was shot dead. It was hard for him to believe not until close people confirmed it.

According to Bajjo, Jajja Ichuli’s death was so painful to most people because it was so unexpected. This is because close to most people in the entertainment industry and talking to them on a daily basis.

The talkative Bajjo said the one thing he is grateful for is that by the time Isma died, he had fulfilled almost everything he promised him. He said Isma never feared anyone and that’s what other bloggers should learn from him.

“Jajja Iculi’s death is very painful to most Ugandans since it was so unexpected. I am so glad that by the time he died, I had fulfilled most of the promises I made to him,” the events promoter said.

Read what some leaders said; Ms Naigambi Lydia from Nawandala Trading Centre says, “They solicited money from us through opening bank accounts and depositing Shs80,000. They also asked for land titles and land agreements from us yet we don’t have such things. I was informed that I needed to have a business with a capital of Shs4m yet my capital was very small.” The chairperson Kisoboka Saving Group in Nawandala Ms. Nakagolo Faith said they were not able to join the program. This is given the many conditions attached. She also asked their woman MP to raise their concerns to the relevant offices. The MP condemned the mode of implementation of the program. She cited that it has turned to benefit the well-off class of women other than the intended group. She further asked the government to intervene saying the current strings attached to the programme are very tight to accommodate a common woman. GROW project is a Government of Uganda initiative that arose out of the need to respond to the needs of women entrepreneurs. This is especially those who want to grow their businesses, sustain their self-employment and create more jobs.
