Why We Should Never Use Force Over Something Like Mask-Up!

99.99% of human beings are rational and reasonable particularly when it comes to issues like personal and public health. To keep telling mature people to mask up sounds funny and irritating.

In my own personal view, it is completely unnecessary to send out soldiers and policemen to force people to wear Masks, and social distance.

It is much more effective to work with popular Influencers in the community [like Pastors, musicians, sports personnel, community leaders, local business leaders], that people trust, and to get them to go out and explain why it is necessary.

Many Mask-Up campaigns in Africa are failing because we have not taken the people into confidence to explain why it is necessary. The use of law enforcement should be the last resort, as a tool to get this done.

In one African country, they have sent out thousands of community Health Workers on a door to door campaign. At each home they test the knowledge about why Mask-Up. They explain to people how to make simple Masks. They give kids sweets, if they answer questions on Masks!

When you treat people like adults, you always get an adult response.
