Do you know that you can’t do much if you are only depending on your monthly salary? You may just not know this until many years have gone by. The needs we have are so endless that even the salary we get may never be enough to cater for them all.

It doesn’t matter how much you get actually. This is because everyone’s standard of living is as high as their earning.

You will find that someone getting a salary of 500,000 is living in a house of around 250,000 per month. The rest of the money will go in catering for expenses. Another person may be getting 5,000,000 Ugshs and they are in a house of 1.5M and the rest of the money will cover expenses. So you just can’t have your monthly salary as your only source of income.

By all means, you must make sure you start up a side business to at least take care of specific things. It is possible to start especially if you make up your mind. It’s a lot of sacrifice in the beginning because you will have to cut off certain things.

Definitely, you will have to start by saving from your monthly salary. This means you have to live within your means so that you spare some amount for saving.

People think you need a lot of money to start a business. However, you can start even with 50,000 depending on what you want to do. Obviously, you have to exercise patience and let your business grow.

Be determined and very intentional about it. Set targets that will always help guide you in how far you have gone since you started. However, by all means, don’t depend on your salary alone.
