Will Government Do Something About The High Cost Of Covid Treatment

Covid treatment costs are so high lately that it is becoming difficult for poor people to afford. The question is, is the government planning to do something about it. These prices are abnormally high and are even leading to the death of patients. Whether these costs are made by the ministry of health or hospitals, we just can’t tell. The government seems too quiet about this and yet it’s urgent. The truth is if no one is going to talk about this, then we are losing many because they can’t afford treatment.

Currently, on a daily you need about 3m to 5m Ugshs if you need covid treatment from a hospital. Despite the fact that these prices are high, people are still flooding hospitals. However, there have been lives that have been lost due to lack of enough funds.

How can a low-income earner afford such treatment when his/her salary per year can’t even make Ugshs5M.

This is the time the Ministry of Health should work hand in hand with the government to sort this issue. Otherwise, their silence is not helping much because it’s doing more harm than good. At least, let them account for this money so that we understand how they spend it. Just recently, a hospital held a body because they were demanding the family Ugshs 60M.

Meanwhile, as the government probably looks into this matter, the public should just take precautions. Fact is, most people can not afford this treatment, it is better to take care than be sorry. Wear that mask every time you are going somewhere, move only when you must, sanitize and social distance.
