Pr Yiga Released On Police Bond Over Rape Cases

Renown Pastor of Kasubi Kawaala commonly known as Augustine Yiga Abizaayo and the founder of Revival Church ministries Kawaala, has finally been released, but on police bond, after being detained a couple of days at Kawempe Police Station.

Pastor Yiga was arrested on Friday evening over rape case accusations that has been circulating for sometime. Since he’s a man of God who is pastors a huge congregation, one of his female followers allegedly accused him of rape.

The woman identified as Angella Ainembabazi said that in 2014, pastor Yiga forced her in to sex in the prayer room where she went for healing over spiritual threats and to meet solution to her financials problems.

However, according to his lawyer, Mr Evans Ochieng, Yiga was released yesterday evening at around 7:30pm and was told to report back at Kawempe Police Station on the 18th of February.

His followers have been stressed since his arrest, they defended him to clear his image and reputation. But this ain’t the first time the ABS TV boss being dragged to court over similar cases.
