They now feel bad that they will not be getting that money again.
Artistes through their federation led by Eddy Kenzo have been trying to engage the government on copyright law. Eddy Kenzo personally met President Museveni to talk to him directly about that.
The opposition leader and artist Bobi Wine hasn’t been happy with artists engaging government in matters concerning music. He called them out saying they shouldn’t be receiving money from government because they are much better than that.
According to Ykee Benda, it is tiring to see people who pretend in the media on issues concerning musicians. He said those people are just selfish, they think only about themselves.
They are not concerned about other artists who are struggling to live a better life.
“I have heard people who talk about artists getting money from the government. I want the media to be aware of them because they make a statement just because they are the same people who have been getting government money for artists. They now feel bad that they will not get anything,” he said.
