The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) was unveiled early this month. By that time, everything was in order and leaders were also announced.
Eddy Kenzo took the presidency with three deputies Sheebah, Pallaso and Juliana Kanyomozi. Then Bebe Cool as the finance minister for the association.
When some artists heard about the new Federation and its leaders, they were not happy. They started spreading hate and talking about how they don’t trust the chosen leaders.
Ykee Benda who was once the president of musicians in the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) also spoke about what he thinks about the federation.
According to Ykee Benda, there is no problem with the leaders. He said he believes in transparency and all the leaders have a good record.
Money is something that always brings separation between people and loss of trust. But since UNMF leaders are all good, Ykee Benda said he has no problem with any of them.
“I firmly believe in transparency, and I have never heard any reports suggesting that Eddy Kenzo, Sheebah, or Juliana Kanyomozi have received money from any individual,” Ykee Benda said
It should be remembered that Sheebah and Eddy Kenzo never believed in the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).
