Dre Cali has been a part of Mpaka Records and he topped the charts while on the label. The two seemed inseparable as they always pushed each other’s music.
Ykee Benda even at times forfeited his own music to promote Dre Cali. It’s no secret that Benda regarded the Ebisooka nebisembayo singer as one of the most talented current artists.
However, rumors started flying a few days ago that the two had parted ways. It’s said that the two fell out over money-related issues. Sanyuka TV’s Uncut show presenter Isaac Kawalya aka Kaiyz revealed this.
The Farma singer through his Facebook page said that one ought to move forward because there is more money in the future than in the past.
“There’s more money in your future than there’s in your past. Keep moving forward,” Ykee Benda posted on his Facebook page.
It’s further rumored that the reason Dre Cali’s music has stalled a bit is that he quit the label. This label was almost spoon-feeding him.
Rumours have it that the singer relocated to Canada where they gave him a 10-year visa after recently performing there.
Dre Cali and Ykee Benda even recently recorded a collabo together titled Kisenge.
