The singer has been in the game for some years now and has managed to achieve some good things from the industry. Someone would think that he would let his children join the industry too to get some of the things he has.
Unfortunately, that is not true as the singer reveals his frustrations about the Ugandan music industry.
Ykee Benda is one of the musicians that is supporting Eddy Kenzo and his newly formed federation known as Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
He has faced some backlash but he keeps his support after saying Kenzo is fighting for the right thing which is the copyright law.
According to him, for the years he has been in the music industry, if the copyright law was active, he wouldn’t be releasing new music. He said he would be eating off his old content and would now be investing in other businesses.
The singer also said he has struggled enough. Without the things the Federation is fighting for, he wouldn’t advise his child to join the music industry.
“Without the things we are fighting for, I would advise my child not to join the music industry. This is because I believe every job should be aligned to its fullest potential,” he said.
