Your Programs Are Not Helping The Youth At All – Kasuku To Government

Motormouth radio presenter, Kasuku, has told government that their programs are not helping the youth in any way. Otherwise, the country wouldn’t have so many young people flying out.

He says government should find a way of having their programs affect the youth in a positive way. There are so many programs that the government has put in place in the name of helping the youth.

There are so many programs that are running aided by the government including the Parish Development model program, bonna baggaggawale among others.

According to the government, these programs are to help the youth to get better in life. However, it seems the young people are just getting poorer by the day. Due to this, most of the young people have run abroad to find a living for themselves.

Kasuku says with time, government is going to lose able labour because all the youth are set on doing work from out. Their argument is the pay is handsome much as the conditions may be harsh.

In any case, every year we have new companies linking Ugandans to work abroad coming up. This only means the people moving out of the country are on the rise.

The government should probably go back to the drawing board and see how young people can benefit from their programs. In a few years, labour may be an issue in the country if this is not sorted out immediately.
