11 New Cases Of Covid-19 Confirmed In Uganda

It was very sad after 11 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the country and these were once again foreign truck drivers. Six Tanzanians who came through Mutukula border point and five Kenyans who entered Uganda through Busia and Malaba entry points.

This bad news has put everyone on tension because the President authorized the truck drivers to continue transporting goods within the country and it has turned out a big threat to the country now.

All the confirmed cases were not through other means but the truck drivers themselves. This makes Uganda’s total cases to stand at 74 from 63. On the good note, the country has not yet received any fatality cases and this has at least relieved pressure imposed on people in lock down.

The number of recovered patients still stand at 45 and this shows more hope that Corona virus might be controlled by now. One of the social media in law was so surprised about these cases through a comment.

How come we used not to have cases of truck driver, they decide to test positive when people are recovering, if the government is not playing on our minds then our neighbors are doing it on purpose,....” One of the Ugandans commented.
