The students will miss exams because their registration fees was reportedly embezzled by the school management.

The students attempted to burn the school premises on Monday morning after getting the news that the school director who doubles as the head teacher, Mr Richard Kibwika had misused the money.

However, police arrived on time to save the situation.
Mr Kibwika who is reported to be already in jail over other debts is said to have collected the money from the students but did not remit it to Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) for the students’ registration.

The Mayuge District education officer, Mr William Nadiope said his office was not aware of the students’ plight but promised to investigate the case.

UCE exams kicked off Monday with the students sitting for their first paper, Physics Practice. UCE exams will run till November 20 with candidates expected to sit for Technical Drawings, PS Mechanical practice, IPS Building practice and IPS Electrical Practice.
