40 Year Old Man On The Run After Hacking Wife In Domestic Dispute

The Territorial Police in Kamuli District are currently on the lookout for a 40-year-old man named Bukusuba Alex. He stands accused of the brutal murder of his wife, Mukoda Masitula, in what appears to be a tragic case of domestic violence.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman from Mulimira Village, Kasolwe Parish in Kagumba Sub-county, met her untimely demise at Bakusekamajja Zone, Naluwoli Parish in Butansi Sub-county, where she resided with the suspect.

Mukoda had tied the knot with Bukusuba in August 2024 following her divorce from her previous spouse. Unfortunately, their marital life was plagued by frequent domestic conflicts that eventually turned violent.

Details of the fatal attack

According to statements from the authorities, Mukoda’s sister had advised her to temporarily leave Bukusuba due to the ongoing abuse, a counsel she heeded.

However, on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at approximately 10:00 AM, she returned to their shared residence to collect some of her belongings, a decision that would have devastating consequences.

Despite prior warnings from the 40 year old man to her mother-in-law about his intentions, tragic events unfolded later that day.

The community was shaken by news of the murder later that evening, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. The District Police Commander (DPC) and a team of officers rushed to the scene, confirming the heinous crime.

Mukoda’s body was then moved to Kamuli General Hospital Mortuary for further examination. ASP Kasadha strongly denounced the act and emphasized the importance of seeking help or legal recourse in marital conflicts rather than resorting to violence.

Police efforts to locate and apprehend the suspect are underway as investigations progress towards ensuring justice is served in the court of law.
