“My assignment at NTV has come to an end. I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to serve. I gave it my all. I couldn’t have done it without the help of an incredible team and an amazing audience. It’s time to move on to something bigger and greater than myself,” Dennis Okari wrote.
Mark Masai, one of Okari’s colleagues got laid off just a few days ago during the company’s mass employee layoff. Masai reacted to Okari’s post by praising his journalistic skills.
“One of the best from any investigation desk in this country, region and continent. Onwards, forwards to the world,” Masai wrote.
His viewers and fellow journalists wished Okari the best in his endeavors as he parted ways with them.
The statement came a day after Nation Media Group’s notice to its staff indicating they were reorganizing their workforce.
