85% Of Black Drivers Are More Likely To Be Stopped By Police In Missouri

Missouri’s Attorney General, Josh Hawley released data that showed that 85 percent of black drivers are more likely to be stopped by traffic police than the white drivers in Missouri, this is the highest percentage the State has so far seen in the last 18 years, according to Axios Media reports.

The racial inbalance in traffic stops is really worse ever since the State began collecting data in the year 2000, according the report released on Friday. Recently in Ferguson when the lethal police shooting of the innocent 18 year old, a justice Department report  of 2015 said the racial attitude and recording by police officers is the energy behind increase money in the Municipal court system.

Police in Missouri are selective!

According to the data of Ferguson’s discrepancy index which was lower than the statewide average despite the fact 88 percent of the drivers  were stopped in Ferguson and many of these were African – Americans.

The key finding from Richard Rosenfeld of University of Missouriexamined the data from attorney General’s office and said that according to the report, Police are too selective when it comes to traffic stops.
