UMA stands for Uganda Musicians Association whose main aim is to deal with all musicians in Uganda, it was being handled by Julius Kyazze as patron who recently resigned.

Khalifa Aganaga a Ugandan artist with various hit songs such as “Ndabilawa” has come out and explained his intentions of taking over this seat as the patron of the Uganda Musicians Association.
Khalifa Aganaga says this post needs to be handled by a musicians themselves since such a person is well positioned to know and understand what they go through as musicians.
Khalifa further more gives an example of people who give loans to artists to make audios and videos expecting to get big interests from them, and when they fail to pay back, they decide to confiscate their properties such as cars, houses, land etc, he says it’s very unfair.
