This is headed by Eddy Kenzo and consists of some of the biggest musicians in the land.
This federation was unveiled a few days ago. Its primary objective is to push Ugandan music beyond the borders. Further, it aims at uniting musicians to fight for their rights, especially financial ones.
Alien Skin however said that first and foremost, music doesn’t need transport money to cross borders. Besides, these musicians can never agree on anything. They will still part ways no matter what.
“Does music need transport money to cross borders? Ugandan music can never unite no matter what and this is a far-fetched dream. I don’t see them uniting at all. Unless there is some money coming out of course. But short of this, there is nothing that will come out. You even see politicians chanting unity. But the next day you find them beefing one another. That federation won’t do much for the industry,” the singer said.
Meanwhile, he was asked why he hasn’t yet met with Bobi Wine. The Tonzijukiza Lockdown singer has been likened to the ghetto gladiator for the time he’s been on the scene.
According to Alien, both of them are like soldiers in the barracks. This is due to the fact that both are from the ghetto.
He added that each one of them is still busy running their errands. However, if the NUP principle ever gives him an invite, he will definitely honor it.
