The ‘Tetema’ Hit maker, who is said to charge upto Ksh1 million (Ugx35 million) for a performance in East Africa, said he had a line-up of over 30 concerts which have all been cancelled or carried over to a later date.
During an interview with Mvumo TV, Diamond expressed sadness on the major interference of the music industry caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“Entertainment depends on gatherings. I had shows in Europe, America and Africa which have all been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. That as a musician means loss of income to me personally and to the label,” Diamond explained.
Because of the major disruption, the artiste noted that he’s likely to upset various things including payment of salaries because in the end, some of the employees working for Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) do not depend on concerts and have to be paid monthly salaries, according to Nairobi news.
