Because Of American Hospital Care Being So Expensive, Employers Are Sending Their Workers Abroad For Treatment

Some employers in United States of America have started sending their workers abroad for treatment because the American Hospital care costs are so high.

According to New York Times reports, the employers send patients with American doctors alongside them to provide proper health care.

Hospital care costs are very high in United States, it therefore forces some employers to pay their workers to receive health care from American doctors in other countries. This is a big challenge for the majority of Americans who don’t have this opportunity.

A certain woman received a payment of $5000 from her husband’s employer in addition to a knee arthroplasty covered by the insurance in exchange for having the operation carried out in Mexico. The employer also paid the travel expenses.

The employer pays less than half of what would have paid in US.
