Artistes Come Out To Push Free Omah Hash Tag

After the arrest of Omah Lay, some of the artistes came out and started pushing the freeOmah hash tag. According to artists, there is no reason at all as to why police arrested the Nigerian artiste.

Their argument is these Nigerian artistes didn’t invite themselves, if there is anything like fairness, the government should arrest even the promoters. They should also arrest the concert investors.  They want the government to arrest the OC who deployed officers to watch over the show because they were there.

A Pass tweeted  that there is just no reason the artistes should appear before a magistrate for something they paid them to do.

“@temsbaby and @Omah_Lay Should be home, not in court before a magistrate for a negligent act likely to spread #covid19 they were booked to perform, they didn’t organize the concert, it’s the promoter. Free the artistes.” A Pass twitted.

A pass is not the only artiste who is pushing for this, even Rema Namakula also ran on her social media platform to ask the government to free Omar and his fellows.

“Free Omah lay, Free Tems. Uganda y’all breaking my heart on God 💔. Nigerian government SPEAK!” Rema tweeted.

What Nigerians are saying;

Some Nigerian artistes are crying out and pleading with Uganda Police to let their people go. On this trail, there is Burna boy, Davido among others. Buena Boy simply asked for the police to give back their people safely as Davido asked himself if artistes aren’t supposed to be trying to make life happen.

The criticism and backlash;

Much as there is so much solidarity from all artistes to free Omar and other artistes, some people think he deserved it. Cindy alias the King herself called him an idiot for performing in Uganda.

She obviously received a lot of backlash from her fans including Sheila Gashumba who said she was very disappointed.

Well, this situation is still on going especially because there has positive response from the police yet.

However there are a lot of pot holes in the case. Who organized the show? Who invited the artistes?
