The 2021/22 NBA regular season provided fans with a great prelude to some feisty playoff matchups and superstar encounters that has left fans questioning on which franchises will progress to this year’s rendition of the Finals to compete for the Larry O’Brien Championship.

This year’s NBA Finals are scheduled to commence on the 2nd of June and could likely stem to the 19th depending on whether the series reaches a seven-game decider with basketball fans and analysts alike already placing their early predictions in play on which two major teams will represent the two conferences.

These are the latest NBA finals betting odds, by way of Draft Kings, profiling the most likely teams to compete for a championship this season.

  • Phoenix Suns (+130):

Last year’s Western Conference champions, the Phoenix Suns, will be looking to make a swift return to the Finals this season after bolstering the NBA’s best regular season record with 64 wins to 18 losses.

  • Boston Celtics (+310):

After a rather underwhelming start to the regular season, the Celtics have suddenly burst into life following on from the NBA All-Star break and have catapulted themselves back into championship contention thanks to the wider efforts of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart.

The 2022 NBA Trade Deadline showcased a blockbuster move that sent James Harden to the Sixers with Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond heading in the other direction to Brooklyn.

Since this trade, Harden and MVP candidate Joel Embiid have formed a formidable duo in the league and with the help of talented role players such as Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris and Danny Green, the Sixers look set to be a major obstacle for any team raring for a chance to win an NBA Championship this year.

Some other notable contenders include the Brooklyn Nets (+550), the Memphis Grizzlies (+600), the Utah Jazz (+1000), the Dallas Mavericks (+1700) and the Minnesota Timberwolves (+4000).
