Former Police AIGP Asan Kasingye Names His Best 5 Ugandan Musicians

Former Police AIGP Asan Kasingye has named his top 5 best Ugandan musicians. Kasignye said that Ugandan music has evolved over time and so has his taste of music. However, he has some of his best current musicians that he listens to most times.

He said that he has different aspects he considers while choosing these musicians such as their personal lifestyles and music.

In number one, he named Dr Jose Chameleone. The Valu Valu singer is highly regarded by many as the best Ugandan musician of all time. To Kasingye, it’s no different. He said that the self-styled music doctor has been at the top of his game for quite long. He has evolved with different generations and continues to deliver.

Swangz Avenue’s Azawi came in number two for the beloved social media enthusiast. According to the retired Police officer, Ugandans listen to more female music than male.

Speaking about Azawi, he said that when the Masavu singer came onto the scene, few people were not acquainted with her style. However, everyone is always looking forward to her new songs.

He stated more;

He pointed out the likes of Sheebah, Vinka, Lydia Jazmine, etc, These he claims as some of those female musicians who have come through the years and continue to deliver good music.

Kasingye then named Bebe Cool as the third. He said that the Gagamel boss is the epitome of how a star should behave. He said that Bebe Cool too has evolved and is still at the top of his music. Even though he’s political, it’s the nature of most musicians.

Additionally, he named Ray G as the fourth. According to Kasingye the Forever singer has shown that the Banyankore can sing too. Besides, he’s built his career clear of controversies.

Lastly, it was Juliana Kanyomozi for Asan Kasingye. He said that the songbird has had tremendous influence on the local music industry.
